| Kate Bulford, 94, of Grande Prairie Mrs. Dukista "Kate" Bulford passed away on Saturday, October 6, 1991 in the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, Grande Prairie at the age of 94 year. Born in Austria, she immigrated to Canada in 1903, at the age of seven. She came to the Peace River country in 1917 and spent most of her life in the Bezanson area, returning to Grande Prairie in 1964. She was predeceased by her husband Haviland (Avie) in 1959, a son Harry in 1963, grandson Stanley Nellis in 1972, son-in-law Orval Nellis in 1987, granddaughter Betty Gubbe in 1989, son Harvey in April 1990. Kate was the last surviving member of the Lapisky family having been predeceased by three brothers and four sisters. She leaves to mourn her passing one son Elmer (Anne) of Bezanson, two daughters Irene Nellis of Grande Prairie and Elenor (George) Bain of Elmsworth, and daughter-in-law Annie Bulford of Bezanson. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and four great-great-gandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Funeral service for Kate Bulford, will be held in the Oliver Funeral Chapel, Grande Prairie, on Wednesday, October 10, 1990 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Vern Wishart officiating. Cremation at the Oliver Funeral Chapel Crematorium will follow the service. Funeral arrangement are under the direction of the Oliver Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Grande Prairie. Telephone 532-2929.
