John Lowe John Lowe passed away at the Grande Prairie Hospital on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1982, at the age of 81 years. He was born at Murray River, P.E.I., and was a resident of Heritage Lodge, Grande Prairie, at the time of his passing. He was an elder of Forbes Presbyterian Church. He is survived by two sons: Joseph of Edmonton, and Herbert of Dawson Creek, B.C.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Manetta, in 1964; one brother, Grant; and by two sisters: Emily and Ethel. Funeral service for the late John Lowe will be held at Forbes Presbyterian Church, Grande Prairie, on Saturday, Sept. 11, 1982, with Rev. D'Arcy Lade officiating. Interment to follow at the Glen Leslie cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart Foundation would be gratefully appreciated. Funeral arrangements by Oliver Funeral Chapel. Elsie Manetta Lowe Funeral services for a well-known Grande Prairie woman, Mrs. Elsie Manetta Lowe, were held last week, in Forbes Presbyterian Church. Rev. J. H. Morris officiated at the 2:30 p.m. service December 14. Mrs. Lowe, born at Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, was 61 at the time of her death. Born the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Johnston she became Mrs. John Lowe in 1929. Besides her husband, survivors are sons Joe of Winnipeg, and Herb of Dawson Creek; brothers Charlie of DeBolt and Elmer, living in Los Angeles, and four grandchildren. Burial was in Glen Leslie Cemetery. Pallbearers were Rupert Weegar, Bert Ogden, Gordon Moon, Bill Moon, Magnus Evinrude and Fred Smith.
