   Ellsworth Anton Kimble, lifelong resident of Grande Prairie, Alberta passed away suddenly in Grande Prairie on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at the age of 73 years.
   Ellsworth was born in Grande Prairie on May 12, 1931. He took over the family farm and lived there his entire life. He enjoyed farming, camping, hunting and fishing. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Anne, sons; Tony (Peter), Bill, Danny (Diane), daughters; Mary Ann (Frank Johnson), Debbie (Bill Tinkess), grandchildren; Dennis, Jason (Melissa), Michael, Jamie, Kristy, Jeff and Matt, brother Bobby (Stella), sister Violet Wales, sisters-in-law Louise and Jean Kimble and numerous nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends.
   The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at the QEII Hospital for their care and compassion given to their husband and father.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ellsworth's memory may be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Kidney Foundation.
   Funeral service will be held at Oliver's Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel (10005-107 Ave.) Grande Prairie on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. George Malcolm officiating.
   Family and friends are invited to a reception afterward at the Crystal Creek Community Hall.

Mildred “Anne”  Kimble   It is with deep regret and sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Mildred “Anne” Annette Kimble (nee Birnie-Browne) at the age of 88 years. Mom was a longtime resident of Grande Prairie. She came to the Peace Country with her parents, Jack and Eileen Birnie-Browne. She had 8 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her loving children: Tony (Peter), Bill, MaryAnn “Kelly” (Frank) Johnson, Debbie (Bill) Tinkess, Danny (Diane) Kimble; 7 grandchildren: Dennis, Jason (Chantele), Micheal (Jessica), Jamie (Fran), Kristy (Shawn), Jeff and Matt; 7 great-grandchildren: Amena, Kealynn, Alozie, Jj, Kaisean, Konner, Liam, Koltan, Henley, and Ty; siblings: Margerie (Jerry) Moody, Donald (Margaret) Birnie-Browne, Elaine Moore, Jimmy (Gloria) Birnie-Browne; brother in-law Bobby Kimble; and sisters in-law: Jean Kimble and Louise Kimble.
   She was predeceased by her husband Ellsworth Kimble in 2005 and siblings: Francis; Jerry, Marlene Birnie-Browne; Buddy; and Eddy; brothers and sisters in-law: Stella, Herman, Herbert, Violet, Alfred Wales, Elaine, and Tom Osborne. We have a huge extended family and we invite you as well as all her friends to join us for a Celebration of her Life on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at 10:30am, at Oliver's Funeral Home in Grande Prairie (10005 107 Ave.). William "Bill" John Kimble
   Bill passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, AB, at the age of 69 years.
   A long-time resident of Grande Prairie, Bill worked most of his life as a long-haul truck driver and heavy equipment operator. His goal was to continue driving trucks for many more years, but unfortunately an accident in 2020 left him unable to do so. Bill had a huge heart and was never happier than when helping others.
   He is survived by brother Tony (Peter) Kimble; sisters Kelly (Frank) Johnson and Debbie (Bill) Tinkess; brother Danny (Diane) Kimble; nephews: Dennis Lobban, Jason (Chantele) Adams, Michael (Jessica) Kimble, Jamie (Fran) Kimble, Jeff (Jerricka) Tinkess, and Matt Tinkess; niece Kristy (Sean) Graham; and great-nephews: Alozi, J.J., Kaisean, Liam, Konnor, Kolton, Ty, and Kallen; and great-nieces: Amena, Kealynn, and Henley. Bill also had a very large extended family spanning 5 generations.
   Bill was predeceased by his partner Patti Snydmiller; his parents Ellsworth and Anne Kimble; as well as mother-in-law Judy (Don) Hansen.
   Special thanks to Shelly and Jason at Country Roads RV Park, the staff of the Royal Alexandra Hospital Cardiac Care ICU team, and STARS Air Ambulance for all their help.

Herbert W. Kimble, 69, of Grande Prairie
   Wayne Kimble, a lifetime resident of the Crystal Creek, Alberta area, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 7, 1991 at age 69.
He was born at Crystal Creek in November 24, 1921 to Herman and   Sylvira Kimble.
   He is survived by his loving wife Jean; and children, son Gordon (Pat) of Grande Prairie and their children, Tanya, Neana, granddaughter Ashley of Grande Prairie, Monte (Joanne) and their children Nicole, Jennifer and Ches of Grande Prairie, Rocky of Grande Prairie and Robin of Grande Prairie: his mother Sylvira Ladwig of Grande Prairie: two brothers Bob (Stella) Kimble of Grande Prairie, and Ellsworth (Ann) Kimble of Grande Prairie: 2 sisters, Elaine (Tom) Osborne of Creston, BC., and Violet (Alfred) Wales of Grande Prairie; sister-in-law Louise Kimble of Grande Prairie; step-brothers: Arnold (Anna) Ladwig of Grande Prairie, and Keith (Margaret) Ladwig of Grande Prairie: step-sister Doris Stashko of Edmonton: as well as numerous other family members and friends.
   Herbert was predeceased by his father Herman Kimble Sr.: his step-father Rhinehart: and twin brother Herman.
   Funeral service for the late Herbert Wayne Kimble will be held at the alliance Church, Grande Prairie, Alberta on Wednesday April 10, 1991, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Victor Zacharias officiating. Interment to follow at the Glen Leslie Cemetary.
   Memorial donations to the Heart and Strike Fund would be appreciated by the family.

     It is with deep sadness that the family of Jean Kimble, wishes to announce her passing on Saturday, September 4, 2021, in Grande Prairie, AB, at the age of 95 years.
Jean was born on January 1, 1926, in Grenfell, SK, to Ira and Nellie McLaughlin. The family moved to the Bezanson, AB, area in 1928 and she was raised on the family farm.
   She married Herbert Kimble and together they farmed and raised four sons: Gordon, Monte, Rocky, and Robin on their family farm in the Crystal Creek area. Even after Herbert passed away, she remained there for another 25 years until moving into Wildrose Manor in Grande Prairie.
   Family was very important to her. She was always going above and beyond to bake, sew, and just generally spoil first her kids, and then grandchildren. Jean loved get togethers where she could cook for and visit with her family.
   She loved curling, picking berries, growing flowers, sewing, baking, horseback riding, cross country skiing, playing the piano, going for walks, and watching tennis on TV. She was a very accomplished artist and many of us have some of her art displayed in our homes. But her favorite pastime was golf and she was lucky enough to be able to golf into her nineties.
   Jean is survived by her sons: Monte, Rocky, and Robin; grandchildren: Tanya, Neana, Nicole, Jennifer, and Ches; eleven great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; brother in-law Allan Redwood; sister in-law Louise Kimble; as well as many nieces and nephews.
   Jean was predeceased by her husband Herbert; son Gordon; parents Ira and Nellie McLaughlin; brothers: Neil, Elmer, and Earl; sisters Joan Ames, and Helen Redwood; parents in-law; as well as many brothers and sisters in-law.
   A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021, at 11:00am, at Glen Leslie Cemetery.
   Following the service, everyone is welcome to join the family for refreshments at Crystal Creek Hall.

Sylvira Ladwig, 93, of Grande Prairie
   Mrs.Sylvira Ladwig passed away at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, Grande Prairie, Alberta. on Monday. March 16. 1992, at age 93.
Sylvira was born in Minnesota, U.S.A., on February 15, 1899, the oldest of five children born to Anton and Emma Dorscheid, on October 3, 1916, she married Herman Kimble, and in 1919 the young couple moved to the Peace Country to settle in the Glen Leslie area. Herman died in 1949, and two years later Sylvira married Reinhart Ludwig.
   Sylvira is survived by daughters: Elaine (Tom) Osborne in Creston, B.C., and Violet (Alfred) Wales of Grande Prairie; sons: Robert (Stella) Kimble, and Ellsworth (Anne) Kimble, both of Grande Prairie; step-children: Arnold (Anna) Ladwig, and Keith (Margaret) Ladwig, both of Grande Prairie, and Doris Stashko of Edmonton: sisters-in-law: Bernice Dorscheid and Vee Dorscheid both of Grande Prairie, and Louella (Howie) Johnson of Edmonton. Mrs. Ladwig was very proud of the fact that she had 103 blood descendants, 100 of which are surviving. She will also be sadly missed by numerous other relatives and friends.
   Mrs. Ladwig was predeceased by her husband Reinhart Ladwig in 1969; twin sons: Herman Kimble in June 1959, and Herbert Kimble in April 1991: and great-great-granddaughter Ryleigh Ophus in July 1991.
   Funeral service for the late Sylvira Ladwig will be held on Friday, March 20, 1992, at 2 p.m., at the Alliance Church, Grande Prairie, Alberta, with Rev. Vern Begalke officiating.
   Cremation to follow.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Cerebral Palsy would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Alfred Ross Wales, 84, of Grande Prairie
   Alfred Ross Wales, lifetime resident of Grande Prairie, Alta., passed away on Friday, March 20, 1998 at the QE II Hospital in Grande Prairie at the age of 84 years.
   Alfred was Born and lived his entire life journey in the Glen Leslie area. He touched many lives with his helping hands and kind and gentle way. He had an infectious appreciation for mother nature. Alfred farmed on the family farm his entire life, growing grain and raising cattle. His greatest joy was his family and friends which he kept close to his heart. He always found pleasure in a good days work.
   He was horn September 14, 1913 to Ross and Annie Wales. He married Violet Kimble in 1939. Together they had four children: Eleanor (Brian) McCurdy of Grande Prairie, Jerry (Laurie) Wales of Grande Prairie, Herb (Lil) Wales of Vernon and Judy Wales of Edmonton. He had 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Charles Wales and sister Elizabeth McLaughlain as well as many nieces and nephews.
   Alfred was predeceased by his parents Ross and Annie Wales, brother Jack Wales, father-in-law Herman Kimble, mother-in-law Sylvira Ladwig, sisters-in-law Florence Wales and Jeanette Wales. Alfred's life was an inspiration for us all. His desire to live a good honest life was reflected in all he did. He always appreciated the small things in life, and the new life abound in the spring.
   His presence will be forever remembered and missed by all his family and friends. We shall remember his smile with every ray of sun as he smiles down upon us from above. The breeze from his angel wings that he earned many times over during his stay here with us. Till we meet again.
   Public visitation will be held on Monday, March 23, 1998 from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. at Oliver's Grande Prairie Funeral Chapel, 10005-107 Avenue, Grande Prairie.
   Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 1998 at 11 a.m. from Alliance Church, 7702-100 Street, Grande Prairie, Alta. with Pastor Vern Begalke officiating.

   It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Violet Emma Wales. Violet was born December 16, 1919 and passed away May 29, 2015 at the age of 95 years surrounded by her adoring family.
   Violet was a lifelong resident of Grande Prairie. She was born on the family homestead in the Crystal Creek area. She was born the 2nd of 6 children to Sylvira (Dorscheid) and Herman Kimble. Violet attended school at the Crystal Creek County School.
   Violet met Alfred Ross Wales in the community and they married December 18, 1939. They farmed in the Glen Leslie area their entire working years, remaining on the farm until 1996. They were blessed with 4 children: Eleanor, Jerry, Herb and Judy.
   Violet is survived by her children: Eleanor McCurdy, Jerry (Laurie), Judy Wales, 12 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren, 8 Great Great Grandchildren, Brother – Bobby Kimble, Sisters-In-Laws: Jean Kimble, Louise Kimble, Anne Kimble, Betty McLaughlin and Brother-In-Law – Charlie Wales, Dear friend and care giver – Alice Hickson. As well as a large number of extended family and friends.
   Violet was pre-deceased by husband – Alfred Wales, son – Herb Wales, Son-In-Law – Brian McCurdy, Sister – Elaine Osborne, Brothers – Herman, Herbert and Ellsworth Kimble, Brothers-In-Laws – Jack Wales, Tom Osborne and Neil McLaughlin, Sisters-In-Laws – Jeanette Wales, Alta Wales, Florence Wales and Stella Kimble.
   In tribute to Violet Wales, please join the family in wearing something red (Violet’s favorite color) to the funeral.
   There will be an open microphone opportunity at the funeral for anyone who wishes to share.
   The family would like to send a sincere thank you for many years of caring service to Dr. Pope, Alice Hickson, Wild Rose Staff, Home Care Staff and the recent Palliative care from the staff of 5 North at the QEII Hospital.
